Healthcare

Al Ansar Hospital

Tamasuk acting as Managing Member, and Alghanim International are developing a new hospital in Madinah, having signed a 20-year Project Agreement with the Ministry of Health in February 2023.

The Al Ansar Hospital PPP represents the first pilot project under the Hospitals PSP Initiative and will set the template for healthcare PPPs in KSA going forward.

The project involves the development, construction and financing of a 244-bed public hospital and associated facilities for the MOH which will primarily be an emergency hospital for the pilgrims and residents in Madinah. The consortium is also responsible for the provision and long-term servicing and maintenance of the medical equipment for the hospital.

Construction work commenced on Al Ansar Hospital in 2023 and the hospital is expected to be reach operational status during 2026.

NEOM Accommodation

NEOM Residential Communities (NRC) 5-6

Tamasuk is currently developing a 10,000-resident community in NEOM, having signed a 7-year DBFOM agreement with NEOM in 2022. NEOM, which means “new future” is a region located in northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that will include hyperconnected, cognitive cities, ports and enterprise zones once complete. Among its main regional developments are the linear city THE LINE, Oxagon, an advanced and clean industry city and port, and Trojena, a year-round mountain destination.

Once constructed, the community will provide high quality accommodation to over 10,000 residents who serve as a vital backbone of the workforce at NEOM.

Tamasuk has partnered with Al Majal Arabi (as EPC Contractor and co-sponsor) for NRC 5-6 and is also involved in the delivery of Facilities Management Services via a joint venture partnership between TOFM (its subsidiary) and Al Majal Arabi.

Sustainable Energy & Utilities

Tafila Wind Farm

The 117MW Tafila Wind Farm is connected to Jordan’s national electricity grid and was commissioned in December 2015. The wind farm accounts for 12% of the Kingdom’s total operating renewable energy generation, generating around 350GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power 83,000 homes in the region. This offsets approximately 235,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. It is the first commercial utility-scale wind power project in the Middle East, and the largest privately-financed wind farm in Jordan.

Water Utilities

Madinah, Buraydah and Tabuk Wastewater Treatment Plants

Tamasuk, alongside its partners Acciona Aqua and Tawzea are developing three new wastewater treatment projects in the cities of Madinah, Buraydah and Tabuk in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, having signed 25-year Sewage Treatment Agreements with Saudi Water Partnerships Company (SWPC) in 2022. The projects, once operational, will be able to receive, treat and deliver up to 440,000m3/day of sewage, producing treated sewage effluent which can be used by the municipalities for irrigation and landscaping. The design of these wastewater treatment facilities takes into account sustainable operations and maintenance as well as the Kingdom’s goal to maximise the used of renewed water from treatment plants for the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO).
